SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Thunderstorms have soaked parts of South Texas and left behind power outages, scattered hail and high water.

CPS Energy says about 1,700 homes and businesses in the San Antonio area were without electricity Tuesday. Crews worked to restore power after Monday night's bad weather.

The San Antonio Fire Department received several calls for high-water rescues. No injuries were immediately reported.

Some road closures were reported before the system moved out and a severe thunderstorm warning was lifted.

The National Weather Service says sunny skies should reach the San Antonio area by Tuesday afternoon.
