McKINNEY, Texas (AP) — A North Texas man has been sentenced to 75 years in prison for killing another man by running over his body with an SUV as many as seven times.

Prosecutors say 22-year-old Jesus Antonio DeSantiago of Plano will be eligible for parole after 37 years. He was convicted of murdering 21-year-old Ashton Williams and sentenced Friday.

Authorities say DeSantiago and his drug supplier met Williams in September 2011 for a drug deal in Plano. Williams grabbed cocaine from the supplier and ran away. DeSantiago found Williams nearby and drove after him as he ran into a field. DeSantiago ran him down with his Ford Explorer, running over his body repeatedly.

Police later arrested DeSantiago and skin found in the undercarriage of the SUV was used as evidence to prosecute him.
