COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a student at Texas A&M University and a teenager have been killed in an auto collision that also seriously injured five others.
Investigators say a pickup carrying six people was exiting the driveway of a home Saturday night when it was struck by another pickup.
Killed in the accident were 19-year-old Taylor Leonard of Houston and 20-year-old Nathan Hardcastle of Cypress, who was a sophomore at A&M. Police say Leonard was driving the pickup that carried Hardcastle and others as it was leaving the driveway.
Police Sgt. Blaine Krauter says the driver of the second vehicle and four people in the pickup driven by Leonard were all hospitalized. One has since been released while the others were in stable condition Monday.
Krauter says the investigation continues.
