MESQUITE, Texas (AP) — Police say they've found the bodies of four adults in a suburban Dallas house days after receiving reports that shots had been fired.
Mesquite police spokesman Bill Hedgpeth says officers initially went to the house early Saturday. They got not answer to their door knocks but found no signs of trouble.
Hedgpeth says officers returned repeatedly until they saw mail and newspapers piling up Wednesday morning and forced their way into the house. The bodies of two men and two women were found in different rooms and a gun was found near one of the bodies.
No identities have been released. Hedgpeth says the Dallas County medical examiner's office staff is investigating to determine how the killings unfolded.
