SAN ANTONIO (AP) — San Antonio Rampage center Scott Timmins has been charged with trespassing after allegedly getting drunk and breaking into a house several blocks from his home.
Officials with the AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers didn't immediately comment Wednesday on the 23-year-old player's status. San Antonio on Wednesday night was hosting Oklahoma City.
A woman called police early Monday to report a stranger on her couch. She and her three children fled through a back door. Officers say Timmins appeared intoxicated and told them he didn't know how he got into the house.
He was charged with criminal trespass and freed Monday afternoon after posting $800 bail.
No attorney could immediately be located for Timmins, who was selected by the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL entry draft.
