HOUSTON (AP) — Houston police shot a man found in a vehicle missing from the home where a double homicide occurred after he opened fire on them.
The Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/WD9LQR ) reports that on Sunday afternoon police found a pickup at a shopping center that matched one missing from the home where a woman in her 60s and a man in his 40s were found dead on Saturday.
Police spokesman Victor Senties says that after getting out of the vehicle, the man "made motions as if to challenge the officers."
Police say the man then pulled out a handgun and began shooting at officers. They returned fire.
The man was taken to the hospital. Police did not say where he was stuck.
