PHOENIX (AP) — Testimony has concluded for the day in the trial of a woman accused in the killing of her lover in Arizona.

Jodi Arias has spent eight days on the witness stand recounting in precise detail one life event after another. But when pressed Wednesday about how she killed Travis Alexander, she drew a blank. She says there is a "huge gap" in her memory from that day in June 2008.

Her attorneys concluded their questioning of her Wednesday afternoon. Prosecutors will likely begin their cross-examination Thursday morning.

Authorities say she killed Alexander in a jealous rage, stabbing and slashing him 27 times, slitting his throat and shooting him in the head. Arias claims he attacked her and she had to fight for her life, but she doesn't recall most of what took place.
