HENDERSON, Texas (AP) — Police say gunfire at an American Legion Post in East Texas has left one man dead and another charged with the slaying.
Henderson police have declined to release the name of the 60-year-old suspect who's facing arraignment Tuesday on a murder charge.
Investigators say a 53-year-old Henderson man was shot several times early Sunday while both men attended a function at the post. The victim died at a hospital. His name wasn't immediately released. An autopsy has been ordered.
The suspect was arrested later Sunday in Henderson. Police have not released a possible motive for the attack.
A spokesman for Henderson police did not immediately return a message Monday to provide additional details.
Henderson is 120 miles southeast of Dallas.
