LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A 20-year-old Nebraska man sought by police investigating a Lincoln slaying has been arrested in Texas.
Lancaster County Sheriff's Capt. Gary Juilfs said Wednesday that Adrian Casares, of Lincoln, was arrested Tuesday evening at a private residence by the members of the Line Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio.
Casares already has been charged with terroristic threats and use of a firearm for an incident on Dec. 29. Investigators say Casares threatened 25-year-old Tyler Schoenrock. Schoenrock's body was found early on Dec. 30 in a rural area north of Lincoln.
Another man, 23-year-old Miguel Castillo, has been charged as an accessory to a felony. His attorney didn't immediately return a call from The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Online court records don't list the name of Casares' attorney.
