MOODY, Texas (AP) — A Central Texas husband and wife have been found slain in their home and officers detained a male relative driving their SUV.
Bell County sheriff's Lt. Donnie Adams declined to release the name of the man who was being held Wednesday pending formal charges.
Adams says officers Tuesday morning received a welfare call from a friend of 62-year-old Chuck Youngblood and 63-year-old Cathy Youngblood. Their bodies were then discovered at their rural home near Moody, about 75 miles north of Austin.
Adams says neighbors noticed the couple's SUV was missing and told deputies where a certain relative might be found. The vehicle was stopped later Tuesday in nearby Little River Academy and the driver was detained.
Autopsies have been ordered. Adams says the victims had multiple wounds. He didn't elaborate.
