CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — Two Texas residents have pleaded guilty to roles in an illegal business that assembled and sold guns, at least 11 of which were traced to Mexico.

The Justice Department says 22-year-old Michael Yarbrough and 24-year-old Ashley Yarbrough pleaded guilty in Corpus Christi on Tuesday to unlawful firearms manufacture. Michael Yarbrough also pleaded guilty to transferring firearms knowing that a felony was to be committed; Ashley Yarbrough pleaded guilty to making a false statement to agents.

Stephen Atkinson pleaded guilty to his role in September.

Federal agents discovered duffel bags of AK-47-type assault rifles at a Corpus Christi home, as well as ammunition magazines and bandoliers. None of the guns had serial numbers.

Prosecutors said Michael Yarbrough sold the guns in McAllen. They agreed to forfeit 74 guns.
