HOUSTON (AP) — Authorities are searching for a driver accused of taking off after colliding with a Houston police patrol car in a wreck that caused minor injuries to the officer.
A police spokesman says the officer was responding to an "assault in progress" early Tuesday morning with her lights and sirens on when a driver failed to yield as she approached an intersection.
The spokesman tells the Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/UjDI8Y ) that the driver kept on driving for about three blocks before stopping and running away.
Investigators are still investigating and searching for the driver.
