AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a man has been charged in the death of a 26-year-old woman he was apparently dating after her body was found at an Austin apartment.
The Austin American-Statesman (http://bit.ly/UgSb5u ) reports 27-year-old Ryan Kyle Clarke has been charged with murder. He remained in jail Tuesday on $100,000 bond. Online jail records did not list an attorney for him.
Authorities believe Cassandra Clark was killed Saturday. A cause of death has not been disclosed.
Austin police Sgt. Brian Miller says Ryan Clarke slit his wrists at a Williamson County park several hours after the slaying.
An arrest warrant says he was discovered in his vehicle Saturday by a sheriff's deputy and taken to a hospital, where he told a social worker Sunday that he'd injured a woman the day before.
