LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — A second man charged in the 2010 shooting death of a registered sex offender during an apparent robbery has reached a plea deal and must serve 15 years in prison.

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal (http://bit.ly/Uq05Zy ) reports Devante Jones pleaded guilty Thursday to robbery.

Jones and two other men were indicted last year on capital murder charges in the December 2010 slaying of 52-year-old Brian Brinson of Wilson. The victim's body was found in his car in downtown Lubbock.

Arenn Davis in April pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Zeven Sanders faces trial Dec. 17.

Records show Brinson was convicted in Oregon of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in 2002 and of manslaughter in the 1988 beating death of an 8-year-old girl at a commune.
