Toddler dead after 2-vehicle crash in West Texas

AMARILLO, Texas (AP) — An 18-month-old child is dead after one car rear-ended another near downtown Amarillo in West Texas.

The Amarillo Globe-News reports (http://bit.ly/XG8CgT ) that the toddler and another child were the two passengers in a Mazda driving Wednesday afternoon. Police said the Mazda was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe.

The drivers of both vehicles and the other child were hospitalized.

Police continue to investigate the crash. They did not release the names of anyone involved.
