FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Trial will begin Tuesday in the 2009 attack on a South Florida teenager who was doused with alcohol and set ablaze by his own middle school classmates.

Prosecutors say it happened following a dispute over a $40 video game.

A six-person jury plus two alternates will hear the state's case against Matthew Bent, who allegedly orchestrated the attack on then-15-year-old Michael Brewer. Bent, now 17, faces a maximum 30-year prison sentence if convicted of attempted second-degree murder.

Two other youths previously pleaded no contest for their roles in the attack and were sentenced to prison. They're expected to testify for the prosecution along with Brewer.

Brewer survived after jumping into an apartment complex swimming pool but suffered severe burns. He has recovered.
