The defense team for Ross Harris begins at Tuesday morning with its opening statements. Then the state will begin calling witnesses.

Some of the first people likely to testify are the first responding officers to the Akers Mill Shopping Center and the actions of Ross Harris.
"Did he cry somebody call 911? Somebody come help my child. No. what have I done," Chuck Boring, Cobb County Assistant District Attorney, said in his opening statement.
A female officer who first approached Harris. He was on the phone.

"She saw him back and forth pacing away from the child and you’re going to hear he held up his finger on the phone and then got into an argument with the police," Boring said. "Shut the f-up my son just died."
The defense says grief is displayed in all sorts of ways, and in this case anger would be understandable.
Courtroom insiders also expect to hear from witnesses from the crowded parking lot. Several stepped in to try to help revive Cooper. We will hear what they thought of Ross Harris’ reaction or lack of reaction.
