Mother and infant killed, 2-year-old injured in Conroe car accident

A young mother and her infant child were killed in an accident in Conroe Saturday afternoon. The woman's 2-year-old survived the crash and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

CONROE, Texas - A young mother and her infant child were killed in an accident in Conroe Saturday afternoon. 

We're told the deceased woman's two-year-old son was also in the vehicle and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

According to deputies, the deceased woman was 24-years-old and her infant son was 11-months-old. The crash happened in the 1100 block of FM 1484 near Rose road. 

The woman was traveling on a two-lane road when she lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected and went into oncoming traffic, according to Sgt. Eric Burse who was on the scene of the crash Saturday evening.

The victim's car was t-boned by an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was injured in the accident and was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital. He is expected to be OK.
