Mom in search of Good Samaritans who saved daughter after car accident

A local mom is asking for the public's help in finding two Good Samaritans who saved her young daughter's life after her family was involved in a terrible car accident.

A Houston mother and father are looking for the Good Samaritans who helped save their little girl’s life after a car accident.

The accident happened on October 15, 2017 on the feeder road off I-10 at Airtex Drive. Three-year-old Zoey Bucio is still in the hospital recovering from injuries sustained in the crash, but her family says had it not been for two strangers, things could have been worse.

The Bucio’s car was hit from behind at about 11 p.m.

Noemi, Zoey’s mom, was in the front seat with her husband, and her 4-year-old son and Zoey were in their car seats in the back when they were hit.

Zoey is learning how to walk again after breaking her femur. She’s also wearing a halo as she recovers from a severe neck and head injury.

“It took us by surprise because we were a minute away from home,” Noemi remembered. “I turned around and I could see my daughter and her neck dangling from her body.”

Noemi panicked. “We were screaming, “What happened? What happened!”

Then two young ladies opened her car door and sprang into action, telling Noemi, “We're here to help. We're going to help you.”

They got Noemi out of the car, helped lift Zoey out, then calmed her down as they waited for the ambulance to arrive.

“They were such a big help and I don't know what I would have done if they weren't there. She was comforting.” said Noemi.

The strangers were there for the family during one of the worst times in their life and now they want to find them.

“I just want to say thank you.” said Noemi and she wants them to meet the little wonder woman, Zoey.

Noemi says the Good Samaritans were driving a white four door sedan and believes one of the women was Hispanic, around 20 or 25 years old.
