Missing Florida girl found safe in Memphis

MEMPHIS, TENN - Police say a child reported missing in Florida on Saturday has been found in Memphis, Tennessee, along with her alleged abductor.


CBS affiliate WREG reports that Rebecca Lewis, 4, was found safe roughly 830 miles away from her Lakeland, Florida home. 

Officials say the man she was with, 31-year-old West  Wild Hogs, is in custody. It is not clear what, if any, charges he will face.

Hogs was born Matthew Clark Pybus but had his name legally changed, according to WREG.

Authorities Monday extended an Amber Alert for to cover Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee after they police in Nashville received a report that Lewis and Hogs had been spotted around 2 a.m. Monday.

GREAT NEWS! Rebecca Lewis has been recovered in Memphis and is safe. West Hogs is in custody. Thanks for all who got the word out.
