HPD and Crime Stoppers released surveillance video of the robbery Thursday in hopes that someone will recognize the men involved and offer clues that will lead to arrests.

The video shows both suspects entering the store wearing red H-E-B hoodies just after 10:30 p.m.

According to HPD, the suspects managed to enter the main office after another employee mistook them for actual workers.

"Some of the employees were under the impression they could have been night stockers," said Jeff Brieden with HPD.

One suspect threatened the employee with a pistol and then punched and pistol-whipped her while the other suspect took money from the safe.

"This female is somebody's mom, sister, family member, somebody's loved one, yet the suspects beat her for no reason, even though she is complying," Brieden said.

The thugs also took the victim's cell phone.

Investigators are looking at the possibility that this was an inside job by a current or former employee.

Both suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspects are described only as black males, 20 to 25 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. Both wore red HEB hoodies and red baseball caps. One suspect wore red Adidas shoes and the other had braids.
