Texas Senate to consider bus seat belt bill

At the state legislature, lawmakers are "buckling down" on a proposal to make students buckle up on school buses.

The Texas Senate is preparing to take up a bill requiring "three point" seat belts all new school busses.

Every school day, roughly 1.5 million children ride a school bus. During the 2015-2016 school year, more than 2,000 crashes involved Texas school buses with 23,000 students onboard.
