Round Rock man arrested on child porn charges

A 45-year-old Round Rock man has been arrested on child pornography charges, Attorney General Ken Paxton's office announced.

Paxton’s office said they received tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Eric Christopher Lucas had uploaded an image of child pornography. Investigators from the Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant on Lucas’ home and “discovered pornographic images of children on his personal desktop computer.”

The attorney general’s office added the Digital Forensics Unit seized “several electronics and digital storage devices” for examination, and that Lucas was booked into the Williamson County Jail without incident.

Lucas is charged with six counts of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony. Online records at the Williamson County Jail state Lucas is being held on combined $75,000 bond. Paxton’s office said he faces up to 10 years in prison per charge if convicted.
