Grocery store clerk robbed & beaten at gunpoint in Beaumont

A gas station was robbed on Calder Avenue Saturday evening. The robber assaulted the store Clerk by beating him with a gun. This is not the first time that the Clerk experienced a scary situation such as this.

BEAUMONT - Security cameras in each corner captured the moment when two men walked into the S and A Grocery on Calder Avenue.

A man wearing a red shirt and black cowboy hat is seen pointing a gun at 65-year-old Fatehali Marchant. The suspect uses the weapon to beat Marchant over and over.

"I was standing here and the guy came in and showed me the gun and I was scared." said Marchant.

It happened on Saturday night just before 7P.M. The father and grandfather has been working at the store for two years and told 12News this is the second time someone has come in and attacked him for cash.

"A man with a knife attacked me here on September 2nd." Marchant told 12News.

On Friday, a clerk at the Shell gas station on Delaware and Eastex Freeway said she was also robbed at gun point.

About 30 minutes later, another robbery occurred at the Exxon gas station on 501 Washington Blvd.

Employees there told 12News a man wearing a black long sleeve shirt and a baseball cap, pulled out his gun and demanded cash from the register.

The suspect took off with almost 400 dollars.

Beaumont police the robberies that took place on Friday could possibly be connected. They are also looking for the two suspects from Saturday.
