COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Some business owners have a beef with the rising cost of barbecue.
A beef shortage has led to the price of brisket going up 60 percent over the last year.
It's the effects from a drought in Texas back in 2011. The cost to feed a cow is also more expensive these days.
And more restaurants are adding barbecue to the menu, so as you can imagine the demand is really 'beefing up' the prices.
CBS News reporter Vicente Arenas shows us why brisket's growing popularity comes at a bad time.
