SAN ANTONIO - Floresville ISD placed the districts elementary, middle and high schools on lockdown this morning after law enforcement alerted the district to an armed suspect in the area.
The lockdown was lifted after police said they apprehended the suspect.
Concerned parents posted alerts on social media from the school sent at 7 a.m. and 7:11 a.m.
As a precaution, the district said students en route to the schools on buses were being rerouted to another location.
Following the arrest, the district said campuses went back to normal schedules.
The area has been vigilant to respond to possible threats following the deadly church shootings in nearby Sutherland Springs where 26 people were gunned down.
Further details on the suspect were not immediately available.
