RUSK, TEXAS - An updated report from Sergeant Dark states that only one bus was involved, and seven students were sent to local hospitals in Jacksonville for minor injuries.
A preliminary crash report states that the driver of bus #7 was negotiating a sharp curve to the right on County Road 4274 when he lost control, left the roadway and hit a tree.
There are reports of two students injured in a bus wreck that happened Thursday morning in Rusk.
According to preliminary reports from DPS Sergeant Jean Dark, two Rusk ISD buses nearly collided on County Road 4274 just outside of Reklaw, and to avoid a collision, one bus swerved and ran off the roadway.
Two of the 44 students on the bus are reported to have minor injuries. The bus driver was not injured.
