HOUSTON—Law enforcement officials were on the hunt for a suspected bank robber after a heist at the Trustmark National Bank on FM 1960 near Ella.
According to police, two suspects entered the bank, located in the 1000 block of 1960, around 10:30 a.m.
They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Deputies were able to track the suspects to the Haverstock Apartments on Aldine Bender and Lee road.
The deputies, along with HPD officers and the FBI, arrested one of the suspects there.
While they were making the arrest, Francis Elementary, a nearby Aldine ISD campus, was put on lockdown.
The lockdown was lifted around 11:30 a.m.
Officials said some of the stolen money was recovered, but the second suspect got away again.
They were still searching for him Friday afternoon.
