02:31 PM CST on Monday, December 1, 2008
HOUSTON – It’s a chilly day in Houston and 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez says it’s going to stay that way.
“It’ll be a very windy day and that will make it feel like the low to mid 50s,” said Gomez.
There is no rain predicted for Monday, but you will need to crank up that heater.
“We’ll continue to see clouds today and we’re setting ourselves up for one of the chilliest nights this year,” said Gomez.
In fact, the temperatures are predicted to get down to the mid and upper 30s for most of our area tonight.

A front is on its way to Houston and it is bringing rain.
"Tomorrow (Tuesday) morning it will be pretty chilly with the a low temperature of 35," said Gomez.
Most of the week will be dry, but Gomez said we should expect rain later this week.
“The next front will arrive with rain Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning. There is a 30 percent chance of rain both days,” said Gomez.
Gomez said parts of our area could see frost on some homes if the clouds move out.
As for our temperatures?
The mercury will get down into the 40’s Thursday and Friday. The highs are expected to reach the mid 60s.
