09:22 AM CST on Friday, November 21, 2008
HOUSTON—Three people were hospitalized in serious condition Thursday night after a rollover crash on the Sam Houston Parkway.
Police said a Toyota with three people inside started having mechanical problems around 10:45 p.m., so the driver slowed down in the right lane.
Another driver in a Scion came along at a high rate of speed and smashed into the back end of the Toyota.
Paramedics had to pry the occupants of the Toyota out of the wreckage.
They were transported to Memorial Hermann.
The driver of the Scion was not hurt.
Police said he was ticketed for speeding earlier in the evening.
