The parade kicks of at 1 p.m. Saturday at Taft and Allen Parkway and ends at Waugh.
The event features over 250 art cars, 200,000 plus live spectators and media from all over the world trying to catch a glimpse of the amazing motorized creations.
They include lowriders, classic cars, costumed rollerskaters, musicians on floats, art bicyclists, hot-rodders, and hard-to-classify rolling contraptions.
The event has come a long way from when it first began in 1988 with 40 decorated vehicles and a handful of spectators. It’s now the world’s largest and oldest art car parade.
If you can't wait to see the cool creations you don't have to! You can get a sneak peek of the cars at the Block Party/Art Car Symposium Friday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Orange Show, located on 2401 Munger Street.
So don't miss out on the fun.
