Houston AC company helps cool Vietnam vet
02:28 PM CDT on Tuesday, April 22, 2008
Many of you have turned on the AC now that the temperature is rising, but for one Vietnam vet, that wasn’t an option until now.
Charles Donovan of Cypress is disabled and living on a fixed income and he couldn’t afford to repair his broken a-c.
An employee of Hallmark Air Conditioning heard about Donovan’s broken AC and that he couldn’t afford to have it repaired, so, the company decided to do the work for free.
The news truly touched Donovan.
“I can’t...I don’t know how to thank you. This is wonderful. Thank you so much,” said the former soldier.
Donovan is a fifth generation military veteran.
Both of his sons are in the service.
One of them is stationed in Afghanistan.
