Many across Texas are observing San Jacinto Day.
That’s the anniversary of the battle that secured our independence from Mexico.
The battle of San Jacinto took place 172 years ago in 1863.
Every year, people come together to re-enact the fight at the San Jacinto Monument in La Porte.
