Houstonians 63 percent more likely to be murdered than residents of other cities

But some say that what Houston really needs is more police officers.

On Tuesday, local leaders met with ministers and other citizens at the Good Hope Baptist Church.

Out of the nine largest cities in the country, Houston currently has the 8th worst crime rate.

According to the FBI, Houston residents are 387 percent more likely to be robbed than the national average.

Houstonians are also 34 percent more likely to be raped and about 62 percent more likely to be murdered.
