Happy ending to a harrowing abduction

A Houston woman was happy to be in the hands of police Sunday after she became the victim of a common crime in her native Mexico called “express kidnapping.”
She says four armed men went into her brother’s apartment in the 6000 block of Dashwood, abducted her, then dropped her off 28 miles away in the 10000 block of Grandbrook.

This woman says she was abducted at gunpoint only to be released a short time later, 28 miles away.
The woman said the men demanded money before loading her into a white Jeep Cherokee.
She said the suspects then took her cell phone, called her daughter and asked for $3,000 ransom.
When they didn’t get the cash, the dropped her off in southeast Houston without a scratch – and they gave her back her phone!
She immediately called police, but couldn’t give detectives a clear description of the suspects.
The woman said that in Mexico, 35- to 40-minute kidnappings are common, but that surviving the ordeal is not.
The four suspects are still on the loose.
