Police probe attempted murder of fellow officer

Houston police are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect or suspects in the attempted capital murder of a police officer.
The incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. Sunday in the 10300 block of the East Freeway
The wanted suspect or suspects are believed to have been inside a silver or gray 4-door 1993-1994 Isuzu Rodeo with tinted windows.
Police said a University of Houston Downtown officer was eating at a taqueria when the suspects, possibly driving west down the East Freeway, fired multiple shots towards the restaurant. One of the bullets struck the officer. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
