$5,000 reward offered in cold case
04:48 PM CDT on Tuesday, March 27, 2007
Seven years after an arson fire killed a mother and daughter in the Heights.
Police still don’t know who set the blaze.
Now cold case detectives are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Annie Caballero, 22, and her 3-year-old daughter Jennifer died in the fire.
Caballero’s mother, Annie Marie Aguilar, says she copes with the loss every day. “Nobody knows it unless you’ve lost a child. I just want somebody please tell us who did it. I know its never going to be a closure but maybe it will help us be at peace a little bit to know why they did it.”
That fire—in the 1800 block of Harvard—was set December 18, 2000.
