HPD car crashes during high-speed chase

A Houston police officer was hurt after crashing into a pole during a high-speed chase.

The officer lost control and hit the utility pole.
Police say It started when the officer spotted a drug buy and tried to pull over the suspect.
He took off in his P.T. Cruiser.
During the chase, the officer lost control and hit a utility pole near Wayside and Griggs.
He suffered a minor head injury and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The suspect got away.
