6 people hurt after truck hits Metro bus

Six people were hurt Thursday after an accident involving a Metro bus and a dump truck downtown.
It all started, investigators said, when the dump truck ran a red light at Chartress and Franklin and then hit the bus.
The impact caused the bus to veer off, go through a parking lot where it hit several vehicles before coming to a stop.
Nine people were on the bus.
The driver and five of the passengers were taken to the hospital.
It’s not clear how badly they were hurt.
