Alleged victims of a suspect local police call one of the worst child predators they’ve ever seen said it will take an international manhunt to bring him to justice. 

Investigators said Darren Ray Castleberry sexually abused young girls – and two of his victims were his own daughters.

According to Harris County Detectives, Castleberry could face life in prison if convicted. But they have to catch him first.

Castleberry has been on the run for nearly a year after being charged with four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

His daughters say their father began sexually assaulting them at an early age.  Until a year ago, neither knew about the other.

“Our lives are surrounded by it.  It would be nice for him to be put in jail and us to be able to live a normal human life.  It’s just something we’ve never had,” one of the daughters said of her father.

Videotapes of the assaults were found and turned over to police.

But locating Castleberry hasn’t been easy. Until recently he was working as a contractor in the Middle East – not exactly within Harris County’s jurisdiction.

Harris County detectives told Castleberry’s ex-wife, Kim, that a federal judge refused to sign documents to revoke his passport. 

So now Kim Castleberry and one of her ex-husband’s former girlfriends Beth West have teamed up to bring attention to the case.

West said the United States government is not living up to its stated goals of protecting children from predators and punishing offenders to the fullest extent of the law.

The family said they believe Castleberry is living with a new girlfriend overseas. He went away without leave from the company he was working for there, and at one point was believed to be in Turkey or Uzbekistan.
