HOUSTON -- KHOU-TV Channel 11 finished as Houston’s news leader in the television sweeps race winning all major newscasts at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. (M-F), (M-Sun) as well as the mid-day news in the November sweeps period ending Wednesday, November 29, according to Nielsen Media Research.

“This is another testament that 11News is delivering the kind of news Houston area viewers want,” says KHOU-TV Executive News Director, Keith Connors.  “Day in and day out, Channel 11 is working to help connect people to what matters most to them.”   

The Channel 11 programs finishing first in the November rating period include; “The Price is Right,” “The Young and The Restless,” “ 11News at Noon,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “11 News at 5,” “The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric,” “11News at 6,” “Wheel of Fortune,” and “11News at 10.”

“11News This Morning” finished a strong second in the morning time period.  “11News at Noon” finished first in its time period and first among other mid-day news programs in the market.  Houston is the nation’s 10^th largest television market.
