Protesters held a rally against smoking on the steps of Houston City
Hall Tuesday.
It happened right before the city council held a hearing on Mayor Bill
White's proposed amendment to the smoking ordinance.
The amendment would ban smoking in restaurants, but not in bars.
The group behind the protest was Houston Communities for Safe Indoor
Air. Members wanted to draw attention to the dangers of secondhand smoke.
