The family who once fought a Houston hospital over keeping their loved
one on life support has lost a similar battle with a San Antonio
facility.
Spiro Nikolouzos has been an invalid since 2001 and complications a few
months ago left him unable to breathe on his own.
He had been on a respirator at St. Luke's Hospital, but transferred to
San Antonio in March when St. Luke's said they would remove him from
life support.
Nikolouzos was first placed in a nursing home there and later moved to
Southeast Baptist Hospital when he developed pneumonia.
The hospital will no longer treat him and he is being moved back to the
nursing home.
