11 News sure had a good time bringing you everything Super Bowl. And
we're keeping our fingers crossed that we can do it again in a few years.
Wednesday night the NFL said that's a definite possibility, even a
probability.
"I think everything went tremendously well," said NFL Senior Vice
President Jim Steeg. "The reaction I've gotten, mail I've gotten, aside
from that one subject has been unbelievably favorable. I think that
everybody just had a tremendous time here in Houston. I think the
hospitality they got out of the people that were here, I think the
feelings they had towards everything that took place was just
unbelievable. I think it changed a number of people's attitudes and
feelings about it.
Steeg said Houston earned an "A" in its performance as host for the
Super Bowl. "I don't think there was any doubt about that," he said. "I
can't come up with anything that really went wrong."
We could know as early as this spring which cities are in the running
for 2009.
