Suzanna Christy found out she'll be performing at this year's Super Bowl.

DEER PARK -- Super Bowl XXXVIII is just weeks away. Hometown girl, Beyonce Knowles, will be singing the national anthem. And the celebrity will be joined by a not-so-famous Houston-area face.

Everyday sisters, Suzanna and Charly Christy, come home from school, chat with their mom and sometimes their aunt. Many times ending up in their rooms watching (what else) MTV.

It's a routine.

But Tuesday wasn't a typical day. There is a lot of excitement inside their home. You see next month Houston will host the biggest sporting event of the year and Suzanna just found out she'll be performing at this year's Super Bowl.

"I was like so nervous when I found out," says Suzanna. "I'm still nervous. I'm really happy about it."

With eyes watching from all around the globe, Suzanna, alongside Beyonce, will be performing our national anthem before this year's big game.

But unlike Beyonce she won't be singing. The 17-year-old from Robert E. Lee High has been asked by the NFL to perform the song with sign.

Her lack of hearing has not held this performer back.

"Ever since I was little I always wanted to be out there," says Suzanna. "I wanted to do this. I always wanted to be in the newspaper or be on TV."

Now her dream is coming true.

Her parents first thoughts? "First thing, hmmm, can we all go?" asks her father, Charles Christy. "But seriously we are very happy that she gets to go. It's just overwhelming. We're just happy that she's going."

She's going yes, but the rest of them are working on tickets.

"Even today I just think it's a dream," says mom Kimberly Christy. "It's not true."

But mom it is going to happen.

Next to Beyonce your daughter, who lost her hearing at age 5, will perform at the biggest show of them all.

No, with tears in all their eyes, there was nothing typical about this day. They're all overwhelmed.
