Fatal auto accident, alcohol may have played a role

KHOU-TV Beer bottles were found near the scene

Police are investigating if alcohol played a role in an accident that killed a man and sent a woman to the hospital.

This happened near the East Freeway and Hartwick.

Police say the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control of his truck, and crashed into a light pole.

He died at the scene.
