HOUSTON – A jackknifed 18-wheeler shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near downtown early Monday morning.

According to Houston TranStar, the crash was reported just before 2:30 a.m. on I-10 near I-45.

All westbound main lanes were closed to traffic as crews worked to clean up a fuel spill. The ramps connecting I-45 to I-10 were also shut down until about 5:30 a.m.

Officials said the wrecked truck spilled about 80 gallons of fuel on the roadway.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to TranStar.
