HOUSTON —- Outbound traffic on the Katy Freeway was slow early Thursday due to a jackknifed 18-wheeler, Houston TranStar reported.
The crash was reported after 3 a.m., shutting down two westbound main lanes near Taylor Street just west of downtown. At least one other vehicle was involved in the crash, but it wasn’t known if anyone was injured.
While there were high winds at the time of the crash, authorities did not immediately say what caused the incident.
The freeway reopened just after 7 a.m.
