City Council, At-Large Position 2 draws most votes in races

Democrat Ana E. Hernandez beat Democrat Laura Salinas in the race for State Representative, District 143. That is the seat formerly held by the late Joe Moreno, who was killed in car accident. Jarvis Johnson got the most votes against Felicia Galloway-Hall in the race for District B of the Houston City Council. Anne Clutterbuck won the election runoff against George Hittner for City Council District C. In the closest and most heavily voted contest, Sue Lovell beat opponent Jay Aiyer by one percent for the At-Large Position 2 on City Council. Two races were for Houston Independent School District Trustees. Natasha Kamrani won against Anne Flores Santiago for Trustee, District I. Lawrence "Larry" Marshall beat Daisy Maura in the runoff for Trustee, District IX.
