HOUSTON — The city of Houston is working with www.ParkMobile.com to give drivers options when it comes to paying for new parking along part of Buffalo Bayou.

The trails along Allen Parkway just outside of downtown now offer 141 new parking spaces.

It costs $1 to park for the three-hour maximum between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

You can may at one of several kiosks, by inserting a payment and punching in your license plate. Or you can pay through ParkMobile’s free downloadable app.

Meter enforcement officers are available during normal business hours to talk with drivers to educate them on the new system. They are writing warnings to drivers who may not be familiar with the change. Citations will begin Nov. 14.  The first citation costs $30.
